Brittany Todd

I was born and raised in Washington state and have been dancing my whole life.  After my first son was born in 2008, I began taking dance fitness classes at a local gym.  For the first time in my life, I found myself looking forward to working out!  I eventually became certified to teach the dance fitness formats of Zumba and MixxedFit.

After my younger son was born in 2016, I stopped teaching dance fitness, as I had a lot on my plate with being a mom and also working full-time as a speech-language pathologist and middle school drama teacher.  By the end of 2019, I found that in no longer focusing on my own health and fitness, I had gained 30 pounds and needed to take blood pressure medication.  At the start of 2020, I made the commitment to make my health a priority.  I started eating healthier and began taking fitness classes online every day.  I loved the flexibility of the online fitness class format, as it allowed me to take classes at any time, which is so important when you have a busy schedule.

In August, 2020, the Grovey Effect dance fitness program was launched and I instantly fell in love!  I found Grovey Effect to be different than any other dance fitness program I had tried because it also incorporated other fitness components, including High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and strength exercises, so I was not only able to get an amazing, fun cardio workout, but also strengthen and tone my muscles. With the help of Grovey Effect, I have been able to lose a total of 50 pounds, stop taking blood pressure medication, and become more physically fit than I have ever been in my life!

As a Grovey Effect Instructor, my goal is to bring you the joy that has been brought to me through the Grovey Effect and living a healthier lifestyle!  Dance more…be happy!
